Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for the growth and development of body tissues. Ibuprofen is a pain reliever and fever reducer which helps to alleviate pain, swelling, and inflammation. Its non-st negotiative action is intended to reduce inflammation and fever.

Over the counter (OTC) medications are medications that are designed to relieve pain or reduce inflammation. While they are used to treat various medical conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, and headaches, over the counter medications are also used to treat minor injuries, injuries, or illnesses.

The side effects of over the counter (OTC) medications are usually mild to moderate, and tend to decrease over time.
BRUFEN 400MG contains Ibuprofen which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still's disease), arthritis of the spine, ankylosing spondylitis, swollen joints, frozen shoulder, bursitis, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, lower back pain, sprains and strains. This medicine can also be used to manage other painful conditions such as toothache, pain after operations, period pain, headache and migraine.
When your body is fighting an injury or infection, it naturally releases chemicals called prostaglandins which lead to fever, swelling and discomfort. BRUFEN 400MG blocks the effect of prostaglandins.
Before taking BRUFEN 400MG tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women must consult the doctor before taking this medicine. Avoid excessive use of painkillers, tell your doctor if you are already taking another painkiller before taking this medicine. The common side effects are dizziness, tiredness, headache, diarrhea, constipation and flatulence.

In a long-term study of the use of ibuprofen in cartilage injuries, the investigators were able to demonstrate that this drug did not lead to an increase in cartilage erosion or failure at the site of the injury, but did lead to an increase in cartilage degeneration. They found that the use of ibuprofen was associated with an increase in the number of cartilage-embedded fibrocartilage cells (FCT) in the joint. In addition, the study found that the use of ibuprofen did not lead to an increase in the cartilage degeneration in the joints of the patients. Although these findings were not consistent with the findings of the previous studies, they suggest that the use of ibuprofen is associated with a small increase in the number of cartilage-embedded FCT.
